As president and chief executive officer, Gunnar Kleveland is the leader of the Textron Industrial Segment and Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. and serves on Textron’s Executive Leadership Team.

Previously, Kleveland was president of TRU Simulation + Training Inc., which offers flight simulation and aircraft training products to the global commercial, civil and military aviation training markets. Prior to leading TRU Simulation + Training Inc., Kleveland was executive vice president of Integrated Operations for Bell, where he was responsible for the international assembly and manufacturing operations, quality management system, production engineering, EHS, external supply base and warehousing and logistics for all of Bell’s commercial and military programs. Kleveland has also held other senior leadership roles at Bell, including vice president, Supply Chain; director, Supply Chain Integration and director, Procurement Major Systems and Subcontracts. Prior to joining Textron in 2004, he was a fighter pilot in the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) and finished his 14-year career in the air force as the Chief of Flight Safety.

Kleveland holds a degree from the RNoAF Academy, a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Business Administration from Midwestern State University.


A 26-year Textron veteran, Jim Pennoyer rejoined Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. as Vice President and CFO in November 2018 after a two-year stint as Senior Vice President and CFO at Textron Aviation. Before that, Pennoyer served for a decade at TSV, first as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and later as Vice President and CFO. Jim joined Textron in 1992, holding leadership positions in finance, mergers & acquisitions and treasury before joining Textron Specialized Vehicles in 2006. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Bentley University.


Matthew joined Textron Specialized Vehicles in 2016 as Vice President of Ground Support Equipment leading both TUG and Douglas. Prior to joining Textron Specialized Vehicles, Matthew worked at Textron Aviation as Vice President of Quality Assurance where he led the integration of Cessna and Beechcraft quality organizations. Matthew has worked in a diversity of roles across numerous disciplines including plant manager, human resources program manager, labor relations manager, product line manager, and front-line supervisor, among others. He holds a degree in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.


John joined Textron Specialized Vehicles in 2000. Over the course of his career with the company, John has held several leadership positions, including Project Leader for the launch of the E-Z-GO RXV golf car platform, Plant Manager, Director of Sourcing, and Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain. In 2013, John transitioned to become Vice President, Parts & Service business within Textron Specialized Vehicles. John received a bachelor's degree from Clayton State University and a Master of Science from Southern Polytechnic State University.

CRAIG KENNEDY — VP, Arctic Cat Sales

Craig joined Textron Specialized Vehicles in 1997 as a Design Engineer for Arctic Cat, in Thief River Falls, MN. After having the opportunity to lead several different functions and programs within engineering, he transitioned to International business. While there, his focus was on Scandinavian, European and Russian strategic distribution partnerships. In 2014, Craig rejoined the ATV/ROV division as Director of Product Development prior to assuming his current role.


Heidi McNary leads sales of Textron Specialized Vehicles product lines outside of North America, and also oversees operations at the company’s many facilities across Europe and Asia. Prior to joining the company, Heidi’s career in aerospace and defense took her across the globe, most recently as Vice President, European Customer Service Centers for Textron Aviation. Heidi has extensive leadership experience across numerous functions, including engineering, sales, marketing, product development, and operations.


Steve Metayer leads aftermarket sales of parts and accessories across Textron Specialized Vehicles’ brands and product lines, and also leads the company’s warranty and customer care organizations.

Before joining Textron Specialized Vehicles in November 2018, Steve served in leadership roles at Textron Aviation, first as Vice President, Aftermarket Sales, and later as Vice President, Sales. Prior to joining Textron in 2016, Steve was a leader at Space Exploration Technologies Corp. – commonly known as SpaceX -- where he built the company’s supply chain organization as its Vice President, Supply Chain. Steve also had a lengthy career at GE Aviation, where he served in multiple, successive roles of increasing leadership importance, including Asia Sourcing Leader, Plant Leader, Global Fulfillment & Logistics Leader, and lastly as General Manager leading the integrated supply chain for the company’s Actuations and Components value stream.


Michael joined Textron Specialized Vehicles in 2000 as a Regional Manager in the Northeast. Since then, Michael has held the roles of Director for the West Region and Vice President, North American Sales. As Vice President, Golf, Michael leads the company's Golf/Turf business, including domestic and international sales, development and management of factory-direct and Authorized Distributor networks, product development and management, and marketing. Michael also works in conjunction with supply chain and logistics to support the distribution network channel. Prior to joining Textron Specialized Vehicles, Michael was the Vice President of Sales at Bruedan Corporation.


Bill Rhinesmith is Senior Vice President, Engineering for Textron Specialized Vehicles. Bill leads all aspects of the company's engineering function, overseeing more than 200 engineers across numerous disciplines in both new product development and ongoing improvement and management of Textron Specialized Vehicles' existing product lines. A 25-year Textron veteran, Bill worked for more than two decades at Textron Aviation in a number of engineering and leadership roles, helping to design and continuously improve a number of products, including the Cessna Citation Longitude, the Citation 560 Encore, the Citation Mustang, and the Citation X. Before entering his current role, Bill also led engineering for the company’s side-by-side and ATV product lines.
